So yesterday, I got this hilarious email. Did you know we reached funding with 420 backers? I mean, if you got it... you know what to do.

But sincerely, thank you all for being here. I got caught up in replacing my car battery myself and other tasks yesterday, and now realize I didn't even post to celebrate here. That's a silly choice if I've ever seen one! So here we are friends. Celebrate!

We are nearing the quarter mark, with 3 weeks left, and I am so thankful to have you all here with me.
So thankful, in fact, that I think I owe you all a WEEKEND STREAM. I don't work on weekends, but many of you can't join streams when I go live! So I will be preparing a stream for this weekend so that you can.

Hello folks!

Well congrats us (a bit early). We are on the cusp of funding, and I know it will happen here in the next 30 minutes maybe. So let's take a look at something that makes the Goblin's Tarot really unique nowadays.


Scrolling through Kickstarter tarot decks, I am really disappointed anymore. I see so many AI decks. I even spotted one here on Backerkit, not-yet-launched project. They've taken it down already, because BK is cool like that.

Something that makes working with an artist, Sam Dow especially, is all of this you're seeing below.




We know this was human-crafted because so much clear intention went into all of it. Sam did not just read what I said I wanted and then spit out work. No, Sam thought about what this should mean. From Sam's own words:

"One of my favorite parts of The Goblin's Tarot was the visual representation of the goblin themself. On The Fool, as they begin their journey, they're meant to resemble marginalia: stiff and papery, two-dimensional, existing at the very edges of the world they inhabit, set apart.

Over the course of their journey through the deck they become suffused with watercolor, gaining shadow and depth and more natural movement, until by the time of The World they're fully part of the story, sharing the same light, space, and context as the other inhabitants of the world of Ajurea. 

Artistically it was a fun challenge to represent that gradual shift, and thematically I think it's a really lovely take on a standard deck's journey!"

And with an artist like this, it's no wonder the deck is so alive with such a variety of work, colors, compositions. Sam leapt into the unknown on this one and made it so very real and alive.

Hello Goblins,

Welcome into our rapidly growing campaign. I appreciate all 300 of you who have joined us already!

And a reminder that $30,000 is only where Publishing Goblin breaks even on the manufacturing and artist pay. Every 10,000 we raise after that offers another $1,000 to the artist, Sam Dow, for their amazing work-- and when we hit $45,000, I have an exciting thing to share: There will be a free set of art prints, not just one or two, but three from this deck that will be included in your guidebook for free.

And every $15,000 after that? We will add three more art prints to the set until we have 9 prints at $75,000!

These aren't unlocked addons for you to pay for, they will go free inside every one of the large guidebooks in the full sized set.

This is because I did a photo shoot at home, and sent a deck out to artist Amy Smith, and photographer KP11 Studios, to get a gorgeous showcase of this deck to show off, and we're not letting those go to waste!
