The Goblin's Tarot

Created by Publishing Goblin

This standard 78-card tarot deck follows the Publishing Goblin's journey through accepting the inevitable end of their divinity, and an accepting of their Mortality. A journey we must all follow eventually.

24 Hours Remain! | End of Project Party!
4 days ago – Wed, Oct 21, 2026 at 03:41:20 PM

The project ends at 7pm MST tomorrow, the 22nd! That means the Goblin's Tarot will wrap up and fade away... But no worries, I won't let it just end without some fun and fanfare!

So join me an hour before it closes tomorrow, here on the campaign page, as we go live and hang out together! I'll do readings, show off the deck, and we can brag about how this project's manufacturing files are now with the manufacturer! (As of ten minutes ago!)

Not only will we start manufacturing right away, we're also using other fulfillment options so this project will be a quick one, start to finish at your doorstep.

Our Final Week | What Worries Did You Have Starting Tarot?
9 days ago – Fri, Oct 16, 2026 at 02:28:56 PM

First off, I'll be at the Fall Market here in Denver tomorrow, Saturday the 17th!
From noon to 5pm, you can come say hi, get something signed if you want, or come buy some wares in person. It's hosted at Crystal Castle Beads, and I'd love to say hello.

So a big part of writing the guidebook for the Goblin's Tarot has been thinking about how to introduce someone to tarot within the guidebook. I have a Common Questions section in the appendix, I have introductory material that demystifies tarot a bit to make it approachable, I've taken apart my approach to reading and made it a formula to help people learn, and I've added a section on how to make your own reading spreads.

The guidebook is as here for long-time readers as it is for new readers. But I especially want to make new readers feel welcome and encourage to learn. So I'm curious: What things did you worry about when you started reading tarot? If you're just starting your journey with the tarot here with this deck, what worries do you currently have?

In many ways, this is the last guidebook I'm writing or a while. It's been the 10th I've had a hand in, and I just desperately want this one to stand on its own so strongly. So tell your friends about it who have been hesitant about trying tarot, this is the perfect time to join the craft of it all.

The Guidebook Is Now On Its Own!
13 days ago – Mon, Oct 12, 2026 at 11:21:58 AM

Hello friends,

Enough folks have asked. So yes, the Goblin's Tarot guidebook is now avaialble as an add-on.
I intended to only have it available in the set, but I was going to get a few extras printed on their own anyways, so I will offer it here. Note that this is $20, this is not meant to be a way for you to get the deck + book on their own, as that would be $65---more than the full set! This book has 4 ribbons, linen finish, gold foil design, hardcover---it's just not meant to be this cheap!

I checked with printers and to get premium color printing with a hardcover, no ribbons, non linen finish, no foil design, the cheapest I can price this later to sell on its own through IngramSpark or other print on demand locations would be $35. And that's without all the bells and whistles I'm offering here for $20.

So if you want an extra guidebook for any reason, now is the time to get it. If you grabbed an Early Bird Deck for $35, getting the guidebook here means you wont get the slipcase for the full set, but it will still be $5 cheaper than the full set.

Thanks for being here folks, see you soon!

2 Weeks In... 2 Weeks Left! | Our Collab & Extras
17 days ago – Thu, Oct 08, 2026 at 12:59:30 PM

Hello folks,

Quiet Time

We are in the middle of the campaign now. It is a quiet time, I will admit. Crowdfunding is best done around 4 weeks to 30 days long, because even though there are these quiet times right now in the middle? It gives folks time to get paid so they can grab it, and it gives folks time to even know it's happening.

If you're a friend of mine, you'll maybe be annoyed at this point with how much I post and share about the project. But for every person who has seen a number of my posts, there are millions of folks out there who haven't seen a single one yet.

$5,000 and 70+ folks have shown up since we've really slowed down. Let's lock in these numbers right now. If the campaign only lasted 2 weeks—to maximize time spent in the first 72 hour and the last 72 hours, where the most funding comes in—we would be done now at $35,380 with 492 people. Let's compare that to the next two weeks and see just how worthwhile it is to stay open 28 days, instead of 14. : )

I am hard at work refining, reformatting, and finishing the guidebook still. I intend to be done tomorrow at the end of the work day. I have been adding more and more, which I really shouldn't be doing! I'll have to let my manufacturer know the book is going to be longer than I had them quote, because I just want to keep stuffing goodies in here for ya. Looks at Sam's early sketches, an extra reading spread, a bit on how to make your own reading spreads, and more.  I really want this to be the best guidebook I've made, one that can teach people how to read tarot for decades to come. So trust me when I say this is all worthwhile extra additions.

Our Cross Collab

Now is a great time to remind you all that Haven's Hair, the set of adventures for Hidden Isle, is funding alongside us! And we have collabed for more reason than just one! They are old friends at this point! We chatted around the Alleyman's Tarot because they made Sefirot, a tarot-run game. And here they are even deeper to their tarot-run games, and it makes me quite excited.

And as of this moment, I'm proud to be backer #651 for their campaign!

I just backed at the tier to get physical copies of their core rulebook, both new adventures, and their tarot deck that you can get alongside (though the Goblin's Tarot will work just fine for playing their game as well.) It was the price I expect of game books nowadays, but they also have cheaper tiers for PDF versions of the game books if you prefer to read on a tablet anyways.

I'm picky about who I collaborate with. I don't just pair up with anybody! So when they asked to partner up, I was skeptical until I saw who it was. The people behind this project make GORGEOUS tarot decks and games. Folks I have wanted to grab for Alleyman's projects for years now. So this is an exciting collaboration, and I am thankful for getting to launch alongside them. I mean—look at the art I shared here. Are you kidding me? This is luxury stuff!

And a reminder that if you back both projects for physical goods, you'll get a nice little bonus set of pins!

I'll ship out the Make Your Own Joy pin duo here, featuring the Goblin playing accordion and Glammy planting a seedling, and they will ship out their own gold pin design with a loop at the top so you can use it as a pendant, which is a great idea that I should be doing sometime.

They aren't huge, but they're fun bonus things to get on top of your main goodies.

Alright folks, talk again soon when I will be able to say that the print files are all on the way to manufacturing. Yes—even before we finish funding! I'm trying to be serious for once here.
